3. AI Processing & Third-Party Providers

ChatenAI routes your messages through third-party AI providers (including Google Gemini and Mistral) to generate responses. By using the platform, you consent to your prompts being processed by these providers. We do not sell your data to any third party. Please review the privacy policies of these providers for details on how they handle inputs.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Chat sessions and homework submissions are kept until you delete them or your account. Uploaded files associated with deleted items are removed from storage within 30 days. You may request complete deletion of your account and data at any time from the Profile Settings page.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and remember your preferences (such as dark/light mode). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging in.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords (bcrypt), and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; while we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

ChatenAI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
